You all know my love of MacKenzie-Child's, so
I decided to set a magical table in the kitchen featuring
Courtly Check and Christmas red.
This curved glass window creates a wonderful view of
the mountains that are right outside.
One of the focal pieces of the table is my
gorgeous MC nutcracker. He stands tall
and watches over the table.
The other focal piece is my favorite Courtly Check piece,
the triple tiered serving dish! I have a thing for tiered servers
and cake platters, and have way too many of them, but I
fell in love with this piece from the moment I saw it on
blogs.
The last item in the centerpiece decor is a fun box
on a pedestal that I made a few years ago with my
craft group. Everything is placed on a mirrored tray
in the center of the table.
I just love how whimsical he is.
The table is dressed with a black and white checked sequin
tablecloth.
The stack begins with my favorite wooden chargers,
gold beaded glass plates to match the gold edges of
the tiered tray, a scalloped MC plate and topped with
candy cane plates.
I have a few sets of red flatware, but these are so bright
red and match the runners, that I just had to use them.
A Christmas tree napkin fold is so easy, and I had
guests wondering how to do them. I quickly showed
them, but told them to look it up on youtube if they
didn't remember.
These ruby stemmed glasses just scream Christmas.
I used runners to tie bows around the chairs, and
hung gold wreaths on the back with a pin.
The chandelier is draped in a red and gold
garland with additional ornaments hanging from it.
did you see the hidden Mickey?
A peek at the table from the chandy!
Those who know me, know we love hand dipped chocolates
at this time of year, and I have had four sessions. My number
one dipper, my oldest daughter, has been sick with her
pregnancy, so I was only going to do a small session by
myself. Then my youngest son called for a private dipping
session. Then my SIL called for a session - hers ended up
being massive, and finally I had to redip some of the family
favorites, because so many had been eaten at parties.
It seems like all we have been doing is parties, but that is
half of the fun of Christmas - opening the house to lots
of people and sharing in the Christmas joy!
Thanks for visiting our Christmas home today! I hope
you enjoyed seeing the MC checks as much as I do.
I will be posting this with
Love your nutcracker table. The nutcracker is fun and whimsical, I have two. Courtly check looks great with red. Your view is gorgeous and a perfect place to set a magical table. Love how you dressed the chairs and chandy. I absolutely adore the tiered tray, yes I have one too. How cute the Christmas tree napkin fold is. I think I shall style mine that way for the brunch tomorrow, what fun the candy whirl plates are. A lovely table to share Christmas joy.
ReplyDeleteSo MKC fabulous Jacqueline! Love the decorated chandy, and that beautiful mountain view! I have the MKC tiered ceramic Courtly Checked server and it is my very favorite piece :) I love the chair ties, tree napkins and peppermint plates, it's so much fun!

The very first thing I noticed was your beautiful mountain views. My daughter was in SLC last spring and has wonderful photos of the area!....your table is adorable and I love your 3 tiered sweet stand (a special MC piece). I made that napkin fold two years ago - it is so festive!! I hope you and your beautiful family have a joyous holiday!
