Halloween Surprise Party

Our crafty witches convened again for a
fabulous night of dining and fun!

Not all in our little coven of crafty witches
enjoy Halloween, and that little witch happened to
be the hostess!  As I arrived at the house with
my dessert, she even made some disparaging
remarks about how she was relieved my
dessert wasn't some Halloween related dessert!

Imagine our surprised delight as we walked
outside and found the "barn" brimming
with fun Halloween trimmings!

The surprise was definitely on us!

For someone who doesn't like Halloween,
she went all out - that wicked little witch -
and created a Halloween masterpiece for
our table and setting.

The table was covered with Halloween fun,
from the old clock with the crow on top
to the velvet mini pumpkins everywhere.  I
think I counted 25 of these gorgeous
minis on the table.

Looking up, the ceiling was draped and swathed
in gorgeous netting and the chandy was bejeweled
and surrounded by fun Halloween decorations.

Our Halloween houses that we crafted last year
stood atop her fun chest of drawers, which she
leaves out there.

There literally was something to see
in every direction.  It was another party
masterpiece.

The mood was set by tons of black candles,
which slowly dripped into beautiful
sculptures all night.

Here is another fun clock she decorated
the table with, and a view of her bounty
of mini velvet pumpkins.

We drank Swamp Water with our meal - what
else would you serve for a Halloween meal?
It is so easy and refreshing!

The Swamp Water was served in these great
smokey black goblets that she got at Dollar Tree.

The vintage looking Halloween cats were found
this year at Wal Mart!

She made darling pinwheels on sticks
which sat under our napkins.  We each got
to take home a pinwheel stick and a pumpkin.

I am going to post about the fun
Witch Mannequins you can see in
the background.  At our last craft dinner,
we all made our own. They were all so different
and fun.  Joanne, not being a Halloween person,
made one for our friend Jann, who had just
had surgery.  Surprise, surprise when she
had dressed two for tonight's dinner!
She is full of fun and surprises.

As always we each bring a part of the meal and
I made this French Peach Pie in canning jars.
At first, I was sure glad I hadn't made anything
HALLOWEEN-ISH!!  It was the perfect fall dessert
and even went with her Halloween table.

We were missing a couple of Witchy Women
this night, but I sure am thrilled to be
invited to be a part of such a talented
and delightful group of crafters and
partyers!

It has been a busy, fun filled week here at
Purple Chocolat Home
as Beaulah has come out to play for
another year!  Joni - I can hear
Zoulah, rattling in her box, anxious
to be let loose for some Halloween fun!

and Drewcilla, our flying witch, went up
on her bicycle to hover in the sky for another
month of fun.

Looking forward to more Halloween fun!
(My computer crashed - it is always something,
isn't it?!!  So we wondered if there would be
no partying, but my sweet niece got the old
girl up and running again - whew!!)

I will be joining
and

Witchy Wishes,

Jacqueline

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.
