Ahhhh, your car has arrived madame!
Step right in, we have been "waiting for you!"
Beaulah and I had fun setting this haunting table
for eight. While she was flying around the house
giving directions, I was busy creating and setting
the table for our craft group, which was having
dinner here and then doing the craft.
We found all of these fabulous plates this year
at Home Goods, a hauntingly great place,
as long as you hop on your broomstick and
get there early.
Each lady had an appropriate place
card to make them feel like they would
fit into our cemetary.
The placesetting was anchored by sparkling
placemats and gold flatware.
My only mistake was to not have snagged the
matching dessert plates! Boo Hoo!!
I love this boney fellow.
Our napkins were nestled into a lovely
tombstone, with treats for the afterlife.
Oh, look who sits at the end of the table!
What a fancy gal she is!
One of our group was missing for the evening,
so she was represented by our fancy lady.
The centerpiece was a find from Home Goods
last year. Two gargoyles are the drivers.
We broke out the beautiful amethyst goblets to
add a touch of purple drama to the table.
These fabulous crowned skulls light up,
and came from Big Lots this year.
Beaulah and I snagged 4 of them!
Purple and gold are one of
Beaulah's favorite combinations.
Even the chandy got decked out in black
roses and purple baubles (from the Dollar Store).
I made a spooky Halloween banner for the hutch
in black, gold and a touch of purple.
The papers all came from a pack that I
had bought last year at Michaels.
More appropriate black roses for our deathly celebration.
Of course this deadly guy fits
right in. He was a gift from friends
last year, but he came from Z Gallerie.
Glad you joined us. We have plenty
of room in our hearse!!!
What a night of cackling and crafting!
But that will follow later - tee hee hee!!
Fly in often as Beaulah and I have
I will be posting with
Oooh Jackie, what a gorgeous table. That hearse is quite spectacular. The purple and black is lovely and so you! The plates are a awesome find from Home Goods. I haven't been there lately, but they always have the best dishware. So much loveliness to admire and take in. I am so happy you are sharing this beautiful tablescape at our Halloween Tablescape Link Party.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun party! Can't wait to visit all of the gorgeous tables.
DeleteJust a beautiful table, love the china, and all the details. Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I am so excited about the plates too!
DeleteYou and Linda👽👻💀two peas in a pod!:)
ReplyDeleteIt is strange how many times we buy the same things and even set our tables the same! Divided at birth!
DeleteAbsolutely FABULOUS table Jackie! I love the colors and I better rush over to Home Goods and see if they have any of those pretty plates in stock! LOVE! LOVE!
ReplyDeleteOh, they disappear so quickly. I got them the weekend before Labor Day and went back 10 days later because I wanted the dessert plates, and they were gone. Good luck.
DeleteWhat a fun find! It's perfect for your creative Halloween tables. I need to stop into HG more often, but there isn't one close to home. Actually that is a good thing. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI agree - it is dangerous, and yes, you have to go often to find much, especially the number I want for the family.
DeleteYour new plates look great-have fun:@)
ReplyDeleteThanks, I think I will have to make a policy of if more come in, some have to come out like Pinky said!
DeleteI can always count and you and Beaulah to set a spooktacular table and this one is no exception! I love your plate stack and gold and glittery layers! I've been creeping around the aisles of HomeGoods since August for their Halloween goodies. I saw your appetizer and salad plates but never saw the dinner ones...they're boo-tiful!
ReplyDeleteWish I had grabbed the salad, but I knew the polka dot ones would go nicely!
DeleteThe hearse reminds me of a scene from and old Christmas Carol movie :) Great table, Jacqueline!
ReplyDeleteYeah or like Charles Dickens Great Expectations!
DeleteThis is such a fun table. Everything looks hauntingly gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks! We love to do haunting gorgeously!
DeleteYou are the only person I know who can set such a BOOtiful, Halloween table that is spooky AND elegant!!! I LOVE your stack of plates and wish I had seen them. What a fabulous combination of spooktacular ingredients make up this table! It is fabulous!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a helper like Beaulah! She really gets things done! Your attention to detail always delights me Jacqueline, I think my very favorite part is the creepy cute place cards! Love the gold and black gorgeous plates, perfect pairing with your favorite purple things. That's hilarious that you brought the skeleton to sit in for your absent friend! LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteJenna
Haha, they turned out so fun. The girls loved finding their names, and Laura loved that we seated her!
DeleteGorgeous table! You have such beautiful details. Love your plate stack. I saw those plates the first week of August and loved them but I have decided for every new purchase I need to donate 3 items. But they are gorgeous. The complete table is amazing. FYI during the grand opening of the new HG in AF the regional rep. said they are going to have a total of 9 HG's within a 50 mile radius of S.L. by the end of 2017. He said the stores do so well here. I say Oh no! I just saw in a previous post you know Karen R. We took Adv. Master Gardener classes together at T. Point. Small world.
ReplyDeleteAhh, too much temptation! We went opening day and it was too insane. We left!
DeleteYes, Karen is in my craft group and used to be a neighbor two houses away!
DeleteNo one combines whimsey and glamor better than you!!
ReplyDeleteOoh Jackie, you always style your tablescapes so elegantly and with such pizazz! You left no detail undone, and even your chandelier is decked out! You girls have such fun together, and I love to read about your gatherings.
