Easter Bunnies Tablescape and a Winner

Everything is just hopping here as usual,
with parties and weddings and Easter
right around the corner.

Sorry it took me so long to announce the
winner of the cookbook giveaway!
I took off the day after the contest
ended to LA for my oldest granddaughter's
cheer competition and then two days
at Disneyland.  Then I came home
and had two days to prepare for
 company in the house for
the wedding of my niece.
I also tried to work in the yard
since the weather was spectacular!!
So,
I haven't had a spare moment to blog.

The winner of the cookbook was number 37

But since we love giveaways so much,
I decided to have a second winner!!!

It was number 32
(Both winners were generated randomly using
Random.org.)

I am so excited to share the cookbook with them!

Now, on to my Easter Table that just
makes the kitchen so happy.

I purchased two sets of Easter Bunny plates at
Home Goods this year.  I am definitely in love with
these adorable bunny plates.  They came in pink, aqua, yellow and green.

So I decided to set my table with each place setting in those colors.

I thought the box was all aqua plates, so I was surprised
to find the four different colors.  Here the aqua plate gets an
aqua colored napkin and an aqua colored glass.

To fit with the theme of spring, I used moss placemats and
a moss runner going down the center of the table.
Everything was set on a lilac colored tablecloth.

You can see the pink bunny with her pink napkin
and glass and even a pink butterfly napkin ring.

We have had lovely spring weather, so this table
is perfect to bring the spring sunshine inside.

Of course, I had to bring out my Glittering Bottle Brush
Trees that I made last year.
Click here for a tutorial on those.  I need to make more,
as I want a whole forest of these adorable little trees.

The table is adorned with darling bunny pedestals
and my imitation chocolate bunnies.  I love how
the little ones always want to eat these.

But in the center, atop a stack of gorgeous aqua and gold
polka dotted dessert plates, that I also got at Home Goods,
stands one of my homemade Easter Bunnies.  He was
made with white chocolate and is carrying a basket
full of candied violets that I brought home from Paris.

He has a bunch of brothers and sisters that need to be
whipped up before Easter, if I get the time.

Doesn't this adorable bunny just melt your heart?

It is always fun to create holiday tables and
see the enjoyment that they bring.

My list of Easter projects awaits - better hop along!

Congrats to the winners!  Thanks for the great
participation.

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

  3. Jacqueline, I'm soooooo excited to win one of your beautiful cookbooks. Thank you!
I sent you an email. '-)
Your table is both pretty and lots of fun. I bought those same bunny plates last year. Luckily they had the matching mugs too. I paired mine with my MacKenzie-Childs dishes, and they are perfect together.
Love your chocolate bunnies too. Is the bunny holding the little bunny something you found this year? I'd love to add one of those to my group.
    Thanks again and Happy Easter......

  4. Jacqueline, I am so delighted and excited to be the winner of one of your own cookbooks! You know I live for dessert so it will be such a wonderful source of inspiration. I can't wait to read it. And your Easter table is so pretty and bright! My favorite chargers with adorable bunnies~~I would love to sit here with you. I've been looking at some calorie-free chocolate bunnies too, in dark, milk and white "chocolate" but the most tempting one is the cutie with the basket which you whipped up! Thank you again for your giveaway. Linda
