A Fanciful Christmas in Paris

We are off to Europe, so I told the kids that they
had to help set up the table for Christmas Eve
if we were going to be able to pull everything off.
They came over last night and helped move furniture
and set up the table for 20 in the living room.

We have had this tradition for quite a few years now, to
seat everyone at the same table and they all really love it.

This year is all gold and white.

These chair sashes are my favorite touch.  They make the table look so elegant.
The kids had fun helping to tie them on.

The stacking
Chiavari chairs are new this year too.  Our regular chairs and folding
chairs that we would bring from hubby's work were just too big
and bulky to fit enough people around the table.  These are elegant
and have a slim line and they stack so that will be great for storage.

The chargers are just wonderfully sparkly.
They came from Hobby Lobby this year.

The plates were a recent purchase at Home Goods
and when they have enough plates for our crowd,
I have to snap them up.

I am in love with these new goblets too.
They are also from Home Goods.

Two gold Eiffel towers make up part of the centerpiece.

They are joined with golden mercury glass candlesticks
and candle holders.

The golden mercury glass was this year
from Home Goods too.
I just love the way this vase is bejeweled.

This candlestick sits atop a gold and white chevron
patterned cake stand.

And to finish off our table are two gold and white
Paris cake stands.  The table will represent our trip
to Paris and Germany.  We hope it is as rich as this
table is.

So we will see you again after Christmas, unless we
can get the internet to work in Europe.  We plan to
go to Paris Disneyland to see it all decked out for
Christmas, then on to Paris itself.  I have always wanted
to see Paris at Christmas.  Then we meet up with friends
in Germany to see the Christmas Marts and
Neuschwanstein Castle,
which I can't wait to see.
It will be a wonderful Christmas to remember.

We will be home with the children by Christmas, but
have a very Merry Christmas, if you don't hear from me
before then.

I will be posting this with
Tablescapes Thursday

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

The chairs sashes are simply gorgeous, and I can't believe the plates and goblets came from Hobby Lobby [and that you were able to find so many!] It's so fun to tie the theme to your holiday trip, I wish you safe travels and a fabulous time!
