Playing in the kitchen today
with my friend Hannah
and I finally got to try these
fabulous Vampire Cupcakes
I have seen on the internet.
I have vowed I would make the
vampire cupcakes for several years.
They remind me of Edward Cullen!
Or how about these Werewolf Cupcakes?
They remind me of Jacob.
Or how about some broken glass?
It was such a fun day playing with
flour and sugar and red food coloring.
I love to play in the kitchen, especially
around holidays.
(I used Americolor red gel food
coloring on an almond buttercream
frosting. The fangs were made by poking
a skewer in and dragging it down the cupcake.
The claw marks were made by dragging the
edge of a knife through the food coloring.
The glass recipe was the link I gave but poured
out as is, I would have had super thick glass. A
big complaint was how yellow the glass is, but poured
super thin, it doesn't look yellow. Caution, if the "glass
is thin, the moisture in the frosting made it bend after
a few hours so I would add the "glass" right
before serving. )
I will be posting this with
Fun cupcakes:@)
ReplyDeleteVery clever cupcakes. Difficult decision, since I loved both characters.
ReplyDeletehow fun! I have poured over your blog more than ever lately. You have encouraged the spirit of loveliness in my home making. My fav chocolate adventure is your cabbage cake. Blessings to you & yours.
ReplyDeleteMan, that's cool!!! "Broken glass"!!! That is one of the slickest things I've seen yet!!!
ReplyDeleteI never got into the whole vampire movie thing, but I know who Edward & Jacob are from the thousands of talk show appearances they made. (Cute little boys!)
I'm usually Team Edward, but in this case I'll take one of each please!
