It is amazing where you can get inspiration
from! I was standing in line at
Hancock Fabric Store buying some fun
Halloween fabrics to make napkins
and the lady in front of me got her
phone out and showed the clerk
these adorable lampshades she makes
for friends.
Her lampshades are draped with several
fabrics, flowers, feathers, ribbons
and lots of other goodies.
So while I still had the idea in
my head, I headed straight from
the fabric store to Target to find
a lampshade that I could dress up.
And while I was at Target I found
lots of other goodies to add to
my Halloween Lamp.
I started with this plane lamp and
began with a glue gun and started draping
fabrics.
I found this fun glittery spiderweb
fabric. That was the one I was planning
on making the napkins out of.
Then I added this black netting over the
top, just scrunching and gluing to the
top rim of the lampshade.
A black boa was glued on the top rim.
Target also had these great black
roses and silver and black pom pom
picks. I pulled those apart and glued
them on.
A little ribbon and spiders
finish off the fun holiday effect.
Beaulah liked it so much
she wanted to put it in her
bedroom.
I had to remind her that she doesn't
have a bedroom!!
Aahhh!! But I will be using it on
my Witches Party Table this week.
I will be posting this with
Love, love, love!! Thanks for sharing gift with us,
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Jacqueline, What a lovely idea, the imagination can run wild making this lamp shade. I do have a spare lampshade I could use, now I need to find some lovely bits and pieces to create my own fabulous lampshade.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the idea.
Have a lovely day today.
Best Wishes

Cute (spooky?) lamp shade! I don't think I've ever noticed the lizard on Beaulah's hat before:@)
