I know you have seen me
in a couple of
"pretty witch"
outfits
but my alter ego,
which comes out every Halloween
night, is always a lot spookier!
We have Drewcilla riding her bicycle up
in the sky about 15 feet up and she is
all lit up. We always have
spooky music
over loudspeakers and
fog machines
and
strobe lights.
This was me last year
ALIEN ATTACK.
Hubby was in his Alien suit
also. I stood on a bar stool
and as he slowly opened the
door, I stuck one hand out and then
my head and nobody could figure
out how I could be so tall.
The fog oozed out the open door
and then he appeared too!
BOO!!!
I always stay in character and
the Alien just made clicking sounds
and screeching sounds.
(Of course if one of the little neighbor
kids are afraid, I break character and say,
"It's just Jackie!" They are so used
to me by now.
They always want to know what it is
going to be this year, but it is always
a surprise. No one gets to know!!
The porch gets redecorated and
you can't come until it is dark.
(Last year one little neighbor
girl just gushed over my "morph suit"
and said, "You always have the
coolest costumes!" Loved that
compliment.)
One year when I was out of town
for Halloween
I got in sooooo
much trouble from the
neighborhood children. I
was ordered to never do that again!
My older kids and my grandkids
have loved joining in on the spooky
fun, but now they are creating their
own spooky homes - guess I shouldn't
have taught them so well!
(Click here to see them joining me
in the fun.)
Have a Fun and Safe
Halloween!

ReplyDeleteThat little girl was right, "You always have the
ReplyDeletecoolest costumes!"
I know little trick or treaters just love coming to your house, Jacqueline. I used to have several hundred years ago but that has dwindled down to a few dozen now. I miss the little guys.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun time you guys always have...love to see each year's creations!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the directions on the bread. I made it yesterday for my grandkidlets & they howled over it...thought it was made of clay! Too funny!! I'll post a photo soon & give you all the credit for the idea.
I just know your house must be the best for Halloween night.
ReplyDeleteI would love to come to your house to trick or treat! The coolest and spookiest house on the block!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun!!! I would love to trick or treat at your house. No one wants to have fun anymore and go way out. Now at my home we can't...we live ion the woods. Really!!!
ReplyDeleteXXOO Marie Antoinette
You do know how to do things up big. what a treat it is for the neighborhood kids. I remember the one time we came and the kids were little. They were scared and you threw their candy bars at them.
