Oh, The Places I've Been - Tai Pan - New Location

You know one of the places I go to all the
time -
Tai Pan Trading.

They have several here in Utah and a couple
in California.

The biggest and best is in Salt Lake City which is
about a 40 minute drive, but the store is
so great compared to the one at our mall
that I make the drive.

Imagine my surprise when I walked in the
University Mall and found a huge new store,
recently opened, down by Macy's.

I just wandered the store and drooled
and realized I had to share some images
of it with you.  I had actually planned a
post on it a few years ago, but never
got around to it.

Ok, now this store is big enough
 to carry their furniture
and every other goody they have in Salt Lake.
I adore this piece - the color and detail.

Maybe it still isn't quite the
warehouse size
of the Salt Lake store
but I could find plenty to interest me
in this huge new store.

Lots of my dishes and tablescape items
come from Tai Pan.  I wish they would
sponsor my tablescapes!

They even have jewelry, scarves, purses and
clothing.  There is something for everyone
from home to kitchen to yard to your closet
in this
wonderful store.

Now these silk script cabbages really caught
my eye.  I haven't seen anything
like these before.
I think I may have to get
some of those beauties.

I wanted to draw a little stick figure
of me walking in the door!!

Ooh, look at the image of
Mount Timpanogos I captured
in the glass.  Cool!

I will be posting on
Tablescaper's new party

  10. Wow! Such a great store and one that I have never heard of! Thanks for sharing those great photos of all the goodies inside. Is that a purple Kitchen Aid mixer in your "About Me" box? I have a friend who adores purple and cooking and got one several years ago...I don't know if they are still available. The little stardust that follows the cursor on your site is so cute.

What a great store! We don't have that here in the Midwest anywhere, so I guess online is our only access to it. I love the vast array of items! Those script cabbages are super, and it looks like they have a very nice selection of realistic silk florals! Just gorgeous stuff everywhere you look!!!

That was cool that you caught the reflection of the mountains in the store windows!!!!!!!!!

  16. Jacqueline,
    You went without me!!!!!!
Girl, I could not believe I only spent 20 minutes in the Clearfield, Utah store when we were traveling back to Washington, maybe because Hubby was in the store with me!....hehehe! There is also one in Boise, Idaho, and I heard all about the new store when I was there, but didn't have time to go since it was such a quick trip. What amazes me is that they have different things in al the stores. I sa things in Clearfield that I did NOT see in Sandy, and the photos you posted, I didn't see some of those Items in EITHER of the two other stores...At least
Boise is oinly 350 miles from me and I can drive there instead of to Utah just to go to Tai Pan Trading! LOL And I have close family that lives there....will be through Boise and back your way in June....I think you will need a helper....Can't wait to check this new store out when I am there!
    Hearts to you!
    Betsy
