Candy Corn Bark

Candy corn is something Beaulah carries around with her
wherever she goes and she is so excited to share her
Candy Corn Bark made with Candy Corn M&Ms.

She is raving how easy and quick this beautiful candy is.
She thinks you might want to let the little kiddies help on this one.

She wants to know if you have tried them.  They are just the
perfect fix for a sugary sweet tooth like hers
 (or what's left of hers!)

We just melted 2 C. white candy melts in a microwave safe
bowl for 30 seconds, stir, then melt again.  Beaulah wants to
warn you to always stir in between so that the bottom doesn't
scorch.  She knows because she has scorched a few bowls
and although she doesn't mind burned food, the rest of us do.

Melt about 1/2 C. orange candy melts until smooth following
the same method.  Place the melted orange candy in a
squeeze bottle or in a Ziploc bag with the corner cut off.

Spread the melted white candy out on a piece of
parchment paper, a Silpat or wax paper.

Pipe straight lines across the white candy with the orange candy.
Take a toothpick and draw lines up one way and down the other
through the candy to give it the chevron effect.  While
the candy is still soft top it with Candy Corn M&Ms.

You will need to work quickly as the candy coating hardens
up quickly.

Cut or break into pieces when it has hardened.

These fun little coffin boxes were a Martha Stewart item
I picked up last year.

Tied off with a sheer orange ribbon, they make wonderful
little gifts.

Beaulah can't say enough about all of the great
friends she makes this time of year on
Purple Chocolat Home.

Thanks for playing along with her through this month.
