I love beautiful roses and
these exquisite roses are starring today on my
Mother's Day table.
The dishes are stacked in layers of white, green and pink
and topped with a beautiful green and pink rose
to go with my pretty April Cornell table cloth
and napkins.
Everything looks so great on the gorgeous linens.
I also layered the April Cornell napkins with a
satin napkin
The napkins are held together with a fun napkin ring
I made from a floral pick. I love the glass leaves and
faceted berries.
Green bubble goblets and a rose relish tray
complement the table.
These majestic roses need a majestic vase.
It is a pink crackle glazed ceramic vase with
scrolled handles.
I think these are truly some of the prettiest roses I
have ever had.
It was finally a beautiful day here, so we get to
enjoy this table outside.
The colors are perfect out in the garden.
The green tips of the rose reminds you of a cabbage.
It layers just like the plates.
I love Mother's Day. My mother who has been gone
for 21 years now didn't like Mother's Day.
I decided to embrace it and enjoy it!
I enjoy the title and the role and
I am honored to be
a mother.
It is even better to be a grandmother.
Each mother is like a rose, unique and beautiful in her own way.
I wish all of you mothers out there a delightful
MOTHER'S DAY!

Just like you, I feel very blessed to be a mother and I enjoy Mother's Day. I don't expect a thing from my three sons, but they always pamper me on my special day. One of my fondest memories is of breakfast in bed on Mother's Day when my son was seven. His teacher's idea :-) God bless teachers!
ReplyDeleteYour tablescape is lovely, and I do adore the April Cornell cloth. One of these days, I will buy an April cloth when I visit her Vermont shop. The roses are beautiful! Happy Mother's Day!!
I am amazed at all the different table decor you showcase. So much variety, color, and textures. So I have an odd question: Do you have a China room like the White House? Where do you store everything? It is truly amazing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tablescape, so soft and cheerful and the roses add the perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun tablecloth and napkins! The dishes are beautiful, all of the colors are just perfect Jacqueline. I'm so glad you thought the roses reminded you of "cabbages" too, they're so pretty! Enjoy your day:@)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous...the dishes and the roses. The roses almost look like they are made of china too! :D
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! Really beautiful..Why did you mom not love MD?
ReplyDeleteI have very few I remember w/ my mom..But I remember the best gift I ever bought her:) In my child's eyes..
I saved up.. and in a store near my elementary school that I walked to.. grade 2.. I saw a pink girl..porcelain pretty girl.. with a gold chain leash and a poodle..I remember buying it and giving it to her.I wish I still had it:)♥
Then when I was 17 ..or 16..I entered her in a Mother Of The Year contest on the radio.. a poem/story I wrote..and she won♥
I was so excited.
I adored her to bits..
This is such a lovely tribute ..your roses and dishes are beautiful.I love pink white and green together.
I know you love your roles..I do too.
Happy Mother's Day to you~
What a gorgeous table this is! Those roses are so unusual. My mother loved MD. In later years she was almost like a kid at Christmas! She is gone 9 years now, but I am planning my fist "tablescape" in her honor. She did 'tablescapes' before the word was even invented. We just enjoyed it and probably thought she was too funny. She would have loved Blogland. xo,
ReplyDeletea favorite color combo, it all looks so lush and pretty. happy mothers day to you~

Your table is exquisite with the soft colors. But those roses! I don't think I have ever seen any as beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThat is stunning, I would love to dine there. So soft and feminine!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Mother's Day! My mom loved her garden, and esp her roses. I have a kerria japonica started from a cutting from her house. I am so glad I took it. When ever it blooms I can see her smile. I used to tell her she was crazy to spend so much time working there, but now I understand. May they both rest in peace!
Truely...a beautiful table!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day.
