Don't be afraid to come over for dinner!
An invitation to a Halloween Dinner Party
at Purple Chocolat Home means lots of
scary, goofy or just gross treats.
Everyone gets in on the fun and creates
something to bring chills or thrills.
I usually try to type up fun name tags
so everyone knows what they are trying.
These are a collection of some over the years.
BBQ'd ribs with a slice of radish and almond for claws.
Spider web bean dip.
Spooky swamp - green jello with fruit cocktail, skeletons
and "seaweed" submerged.
The "seaweed" is a variety of lettuces placed in the
swamp.
Sour cream potatoes graveyard.
Frankenstein
and the lovely Bride of Frankenstein
Bloody fingers - breadsticks, hot dogs and a slice of radish.
This one is one of my favorites.
My sister-in-law Michele brought these real chicken
feet and told Joni that they were marzipan.
Joni at Red Couch Recipes
adores marzipan and quickly lifted one up to eat.
You guessed it, they were not marzipan, but real
feet. Luckily she hadn't taken a bite.
Everyone got a big laugh out of that.
Just kidding, we are sooo glad to have
you, drop on in for a scary dinner anytime.
Come join me at
Tasty Tuesday to see
lots more Halloween fun.
I am also posting with

Fun Halloween food!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh...the chicken feet about did me in. Where would you even find such a thing (not that I'll be looking)! Such great ideas. I did my dinner party over the weekend with a Halloween theme, but I left the food "normal"!
ReplyDeleteFun cakes you'd made. Love the bride one. Is it Marge Simpson too? You must put on a lot of parties..
ReplyDeleteHave a good week.
Nancy
You have a great imagination for creating the cakes and dishes.
ReplyDeleteThe poor gal with the chicken feet, I feel for her. :-)
Just love all this! As always, a breath of fresh air!
ReplyDeleteOur native people in SA regard chicken feet as a tasty delicacy.

ReplyDeleteLooks like you know how to put on quite a fun Halloween party! The Bride of Frankenstein is my favorite! Poor Joni and the chicken feet..that would have made me shriek:)
ReplyDeleteOh My Heavens! You truly bring a giant smile to my face. Last week we were involved in hosting a Halloween Mystery murder party for our stake YSA. They also brought scary desserts. Your dishes are by far the grossiest (cutest)ever.
ReplyDeleteWe love witches night out and we enjoy fun Garndner Village this time of year.
Your witch costume is the best I have seen! Where do you get all the energy and the time to create such fabulous everything???
A fan, Beth~♥
