We Can't Scream for Ice Cream - Our Mouths Are Too Full! - And We Have Two Winners

(Cookie Dough Ice Cream)

It just seems appropriate to celebrate the two winners of
our Cuisinart Ice Cream Makers with more
ice cream.

The winners are......

Patti and Allie at
and
Sue at

I had just left Patti a comment that I had made her
 a couple of hours before
the random drawing. So what a surprise when her
blog was randomly chosen!

Try the Cherries, they are incredible -you might want
to eat the entire recipe yourself!

It was so nice that one of the winners was a previous follower
and one was a new follower.
Congratulations.

Thanks for all the support taking me up past 200 Followers.

(Oreo Cookie Ice Cream)

Why make just one kind?

I decided to make four and invite some neighbors
over to help us try them out.

I could use an extra Cuisinart myself!

I have a Kitchenaid Ice Cream Maker Attachment
that I have used previously, but this time it
failed me.  That is twice in a row now.  It
just made slush.

So, we quickly rinsed the Cuisinart container with cold water,
 popped it back
in the freezer for 3-4 hours and made the next batch.

We started with Cookie Dough Ice Cream

then

Oreo Ice Cream

 Chocolate Nutella Ice Cream

And Caramel Cashew Ice Cream.

We had a group of neighbors over with their families and
there was nothing left at the end!  Good thing we made 4 kinds.

Cookie Dough Ice Cream

2 C. milk
2 C. cream
1 C. pasteurized egg product - Egg Beaters
1 1/4 C. sugar
1 small jar marshmallow cream
1 T. Torani's White Chocolate Syrup (this is liquid flavoring
which can be found by the coffee section)
1 T. Torani's Almond Syrup
(If you can't find those, you can flavor it with
1 T. vanilla and 1 tsp. almond - the almond
is optional, but I really like it.)

Mix all of the above in the mixer.  The marshmallow cream will not
completely blend in, but it will in the ice cream maker.
Freeze according to your ice cream maker's directions.

Meanwhile - Cut 6 pre-made chocolate chip cookies - such as
Otis Spunkmeyer cookies
into small pieces and place on a plate or pan in the freezer.
You want these as cold as possible.
Place a container in the freezer that will hold all of the
finished ice cream.  You want everything cold, cold, cold.

When the ice cream is frozen, spoon it into your cold container
and stir in the cookie dough.  I also drizzled Hershey's Shell
or Smucker's Magic Shell (find by ice cream toppings) on the
top and stirred it in with the cookie dough.  This gives it
that chocolate flake or chip effect.
Quickly place in freezer for at least 3-4 hours to ripen.

Oreo Ice Cream

Follow the above recipe, omitting the Almond Torani's and
the Hershey's Shell.
Exchange Oreos for the cookie dough.
Crush 1 1/2 C. Oreos - more or less to your liking.

Place the serving dish and the crushed Oreos in the freezer while
the ice cream is processing. Spoon the finished ice cream into
the serving dish.  Stir the cookies into the
finished ice cream.  Place the dish in the freezer for 3-4 hours.

Caramel Cashew Ice Cream

Follow the above recipe, only substitute brown sugar
for the white sugar.  Omit the Torani flavorings and use 1 T.
vanilla (less if using Mexican vanilla), and omit the Hershey's Shell.
Exchange salted cashews for the cookies.

Lightly chop 1 1/2 C. salted roasted cashews.
Place the serving dish and the chopped cashews in the freezer
while the ice cream is processing. Spoon the ice cream
into the cold serving dish. Stir the nuts into the
finished ice cream. Place the dish in the freezer
for 3-4 hours.

Chocolate Nutella Ice Cream

2 C. chocolate milk
2 C. cream
1 small box instant chocolate pudding mix
1/2 C. Nutella

Blend the above ingredients.  Pour into ice cream maker.
Place the serving dish in the freezer while the ice cream
is processing.  Spoon the finished ice cream into the
serving dish and freeze for 3-4 hours.

  6. It's hard to decide which to do first, they all look so good- But that caramel cashew might have to be the one. Congratulations to the winners! I guess I'll have to plug along with my old ice cream freezer for a little while longer. Sigh.

  25. How fun that I actually "know" both of your winners. It is a little more exciting to see friends win.

I am so impressed with your ice cream varieties. They all look fantastic. I wouldn't be able to pick a favorite and would gain 10 pounds just trying them all. What a fun idea for a get together.

  29. I read this post months ago and just got a new cuisine art ice cream mixer last night. The first recipe I tried was the chocolate nutella... Amazing! It's similar to my favorite ice cream from Baskin Robbins, Chocolate Mousse Royale. Love, love, love it. Thanks Diane
