I was invited to my friend
Tammy's house for a spring luncheon.
I love the beautiful spring green plates
she used with the fun striped green placemats
and napkins.
All of my friends have now become
tablescapers and it is so fun to see them
exercise their talents in this area.
She set a fabulous table with
bunny accents
and even a bowl
of our favorite Cadbury eggs at
each place setting.
Isn't this pretty flatware? The very
tip of it reminds me of an Easter Egg.
Clear stemware complete the settings.
She created the centerpiece with a
mercury glass urn on top of a pewter
charger covered in moss with eggs nestled
in the moss.
The darling bunnies are snuggled close
to the beautiful centerpiece.
Silk flowers fill the mercury glass urn.
Isn't he just adorable all decked out with
his moss green ribbon?
We get together once a month and rotate
homes with each hostess deciding the
menu.
This week I brought the Wedge Salad.
I had prepped them at home and brought
them in these square bowls.
You can't go wrong with white and
they look so beautiful on top of these
gorgeous plates.
Tammy's round bowls had been removed for
her Lasagna Soup. She placed cubes
of mozzarella cheese on the bottom
and ladled the soup on top so that the cheese
was beautifully melted.
Another friend, Annette, had her twin daughters
volunteer to make us Creme Brulee. They
both attended a year at Culinary Art School.
They brought the finished ramekins over
and flamed the sugar and then showed
their mother how they wanted them
garnished for the dessert. We are
all close friends with each other's
daughters and they were so fun
and delightful.
Thanks Tammy for such a lovely luncheon
and such a beautiful tablescape.
I will be posting this with
Oh this is so beautiful and almost makes me believe spring is actually coming. They are still talking about a wintery mix for next week here. The table is just perfect, the food looks amazing. I love the idea of the cheese in the bottom of the soup bowl. I would imagine that you have a great time every month!
ReplyDeleteWe just got back from our daughter's wedding and I ate too much leftover cake and cupcakes. I am trying to avoid heavy sweets until I get those 5 pounds off, but crème brulee almost makes me change my mind.
What a beautiful table Tammy set, and isn't it great that all your friends enjoy tablescaping as much as you do. I'm going to remember this menu the next time I host a luncheon. Everything looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful green table. Love all your bunnies! I gave up desserts for Lent and I ate everything with my eyes. LOL
ReplyDeleteBlessings My Friend,
This is such a pretty table...the centerpiece gives me a lot of ideas! I love the little bowls of candy at each setting. And the food...oh yum! Love everything, especially the creme brulee. I used to stick it under the broiler and there were many mishaps! Ha!
